VISIBILITY

4X: eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate. Visibility sets the degree of eXploration: from a fully open map to a dark galaxy revealed only by your sensors.

Open Map (3X)No eXploration. Like Chess, the entire galaxy is visible from the start — every system, its owner, and its forces. This is the most strategic game mode.

Fog of War (4X Lite)Low eXploration. You see the full map of systems, but only those within sensor range display who or what is on them. Allows for more subterfuge.

Dark Forest (4X Max)Full eXploration. You only see the map within sensor range, not even the position of other systems or empires is revealed until they come within sensor range.

WORMHOLES

Natural anomalies that link distant rim systems. Deploy a fleet to a mouth and choose to transit — arriving instantly at its paired mouth across the galaxy — or stop. A mouth is a system you can hold, but it has no economy. Default off.

OFFNo wormholes. A standard galaxy.

ONPaired wormhole mouths spawn along the frontier — instant shortcuts across the map, held and contested like any system.
